Je pense que ça va probablement être un des pilotes essayeurs de Ferrari qui va finir la saison. Pour la saison prochaine, ça va dépendre si Massa peut revenir ou pas.

Il y a aussi quelques rumeurs sur Villeneuve qui finirait la saison avec Ferrari, mais je n'y crois pas.

Puisque Massa risque de ne jamais pouvoir courir à nouveau, Ferrari aurait tout avantage à donner la chance à un jeune prospect plutôt que de ramener Villeneuve. Cependant, voir Jacques conduire une Ferrari, ça serait cool en viarge. Les Tiffosi seraient sans doute heureux eux-aussi.

BERLIN, Germany (CNN) — Formula One motor racing legend Michael Schumacher intends to come out of retirement to replace injured driver Felipe Massa, he said Wednesday.

Schumacher, who won seven Formula One championships before retiring, will drive in place of Massa, who was badly injured in a freak accident on Saturday.

“I will prepare myself to take the place of Felipe,” Schumacher said in a statement obtained by CNN.

Massa and Schumacher both race for the same team, Ferrari.

Schumacher must have medical exams and will be in the Ferrari cockpit for the next race, in Spain next month, if those tests go well, his representative Sabine Kehm told CNN.

Schumacher said his Formula One career had been closed “long and completely,” but that he would return out of loyalty to Ferrari.

“As a competitor I also very much look forward to facing this challenge,” he said.

Schumacher, 40, retired in 2006.

Massa suffered a skull fracture when he crashed at 200 kpm (138 mph) after being hit in the eye by flying debris from another racer’s car.

Doctors say he may never regain full use of that eye, which would end his racing career.
